User orientation throughout a large social area was part of the client’s project brief. Additionally it was deemed desirable to achieve a very light, fresh intervention that would take the mind off the harsh hot and humid tropical climate.
Floating CNC milled partitions out of acrylic and bamboo were used to this effect.
Blown up high res photographs of natural themes in bright colors were used as backdrops to help users navigate through the space.
The project required a trial an error period for the execution and installation of the CNC milled partitions. Delicate work was milled in Guatemala and imported labor assembled it in Honduras.
