Ciudad Vieja (Co- Living Project)

Our client, together with a group of friends and acquaintances) approached us to design and develop a co-living community in the outskirts of Antigua Guatemala.  Thought of as a place to grow together (rather than grow old), we planned a design in which private and shared area definitions are a bit blurred, in order to emphasize human interaction.

Green rooftops are all interconnected, creating a path of desire through out the project, and allowing people to gather at different areas of the project with varying levels of privacy.

Although an horizontal residential development, verticality is emphasized within each unit’s interior, so as to maintain active, healthy occupants.
